Well, it hath been done. Consummatum est and other vague blasphemies I can now utilize thanks to my Early Medieval European History class.

Here's a very sleepy huzzah. It's four-thirty in the fucking morning, and their wordcount-verifier lies like a rug, which facilitated a forty-four word "You guys are made of bullshit" sentence to tide me over.

Got some good fics out of this. Started a Near-centric ficlet series yesterday (...morning, about twenty-four hours ago), and have eleven and a half thousand words of the smutty one that I really like, and started a lot more than I finished, but did get some nice stuff going. Even finished a couple things. Egads.

The tiding-over fic was lolslash of two of the characters in the novel [livejournal.com profile] eltea is still assiduously writing (plz to be crossing teh fingarz), because I am that awesome. Thought you should know. Yeah. Boo-yah. Why did I leave my emo pants at school? They would be so appropriate tonight.

Then again, it's fucking cold, and I'm glad of my pajamas instead of my emo pants. True story.

I will give you an absolutely random selection, for shits and giggles.

Strolling down the rows of knickknacks and curios, poking at jewelry boxes, music boxes, and what appeared to be boxes with no particular purpose, Light strove to determine what would suit his mother best. He needed to buy some roses, of course; fortunately all the vendors on the street hadn’t lost track of the calendar like he had. But flowers died, and chocolates got eaten (precipitously, if L was around), and he wanted to supplement those kinds of gifts with something permanent. Something lasting.

And now I will reply hazily to comments and then go the fuck to bed.

...and other unnecessary expletives as well.

I know these are boring. But look, a pretty word meter! 8D SHINY!

And just think about the long-term reward, which is, eh, probably about twice as much fic as there would be under regular writing circumstances. XD

This puts me at a mere 1203 words behind. That's almost nothing. It's only 1203 words more than nothing. Snap.

Smut is where it's at. Who thought that shit would be so wordy? XD That is indecent on so many levels. XD

Five and a half hours of sleep two nights in a row is grossly inadequate. I get to get up a little late tomorrow, though it'd be a helluva lot later if my French exam partner didn't think we'd need an hour to figure out how to talk for two minutes about any of a couple questions. I mean, really. Back in the day, if our teacher had been high enough (it IS Berkeley, CA, after all) to give us a partnered oral exam in the first place (maybe it's the smut, but that sounds diiiirrrrtyyyy), [livejournal.com profile] eltea and I would've winged it faster than you could say "Maybe you should at least read the questions first." XD

I sacrificed homework for NaNo again. Even though I felt pretty damn superior understanding Act III, Scene iv, which is in French. Yeah. It's useful once in a blue moon. Whoa.

...yeah, that's all I got. XD

tierfal: (L - Bewildered)
And not much but teh wordagez. XD

Thank [livejournal.com profile] jenwryn. I am now a smut authoress. I feel vaguely dirty. XD

WELL, it's about time for a shower anyway! XD

I am now only 1,589 words behind. In-cred-i-ble. No yoke.

(And psst to Jenny -- now-finished ficcage shall be posted here ASAP! :D)

I'm only 1735 words behind for yesterday's count. Technically-today is a different story, and one that I shan't be considering as of yet...

Yes. Shan't. Stick that in your pipe and smoke it.

...you're all, "I SHAN'T!"

...shanty, anyone?

It probably doesn't sound like it, but I think I'm sane. All credit to [livejournal.com profile] eltea.

tierfal: (Mello - Pimp)
Yeah, I'm addicted to "Oh, snap." It'll stop soon. Promise. I get that way about phrases; "legit" is almost as bad. Sometimes people wish to kill me. O_o

The biggest disadvantage of NaNoWriCheat is that I have a document labeled "50K," but I have of late been forgetting to put everything into it -- or have had things that I'd begun, pasted in for counting, and then removed again and forgot to replace once they were finished.

So math errors plus actually-moving-towards-the-smutty-side-of-life equals...

As a friend from journalism would say... BOO YA, SMOKED THAT BITCH!

...I'm going to go sleep now. XD

Today was slightly less-adamantly wasted than yesterday. On the wasted side, I didn't get up until eleven-thirty (what kind of alarm clock gives up after the fourth tap to the Snooze button? I ASK YOU...!), but on the less-wasted side, I actually got through some of that homework stuff I needed to. Y'know. That.

And then this:

*weary flag-waving*  I'm only 2655 words behind now, which is... absolutely stunning.  I thought I was much worse-off, given that there were three days when I wrote almost nothing...

Also, it amuses me that my brother only ever IMs me when he wants a paper proofread.  Or when he's dyed his hair a strange color...

Unfortunately, tonight, it was the former. XD

Hot Damn!

What the hell is it about sexy video game characters? XD

...yeah, I wrote the second section today. One more to go, and then I'll have to come up with a new project to squeeze hella words out of. 8D

Magical. Despite the fact that I spent about six hours watching Kingdom Hearts II cutscenes yesterday and wrote almost nothing, I'm only 1188 words behind.

What the crap? I do not do things on-schedule. XD

...as is painfully evident in the absurd quantity of catch-up homework that needs to be done this weekend.

But hey.

Now... [livejournal.com profile] brigits_flame, or sleep...?

tierfal: (Toast)
Why did I just write two thousand more words of a Kingdom Hearts fic quite despite the minor detail that I still don't know anything about its canon? And why am I planning to write two more parts of it? XD

Good question.

Oh, right.

So the first of the three characters is Reno.  Which kept making me think of the Capital One commercial with David Spade where he's saying "no" in as many ways as possible and resorts to, "Go to Reno, play some keno in the casino."

I couldn't find that particular one, but I found this one and this one instead. 8D
tierfal: (Mello - Reasonable)
"Between who?"

"I mean, the matter that you read, my lord."

"Oh, this old thing? It's called FUCKING AWESOMESAUCE!"

(...er, Hamlet, you feeling okay?)

It's done.

It's DONE.

Yup. Expect the fun to start in the very near (GEDDIT) future, because "The End Is Near" has drawn to a superfantasmically glorious close. I'd be doing backflips if my failed attempts wouldn't end with me paralyzed. Seeing as how that'd be a bit of a setback and all.

There'll be editing galore, but it's not going to change too much. Little bit of a pity I couldn't get to a hundred pages, but there wasn't really anything else to put in... XD

The final chapter plus today's drabble brings us to...

All due credit to these guys, because catching up on about eight of their latest videos cured my emo quite against my will. XD

Yeah. I am hot shit, kids. 8D

How did this craziness happen, you ask? I ask myself the same thing. Funny story, really.

No, really.

It's called "The End Is Near," and it's so close to finished that I can taste the triumph. (It tastes like strawberries and cheesecake. :d)

"TEIN" is now the longest fic I've ever written, having dethroned "The Hour of the Wolf" seven hundred words ago. And... wow. Thirty chapters. Damn. I've never had to title something "Chapter Thirty" before.

...actually, looking, that's not true; when the Emo Assassin (no, seriously -- he was emo before emo was in; it was a COUP) Book I started in the tenth grade stalled last year, it had come to 95,000 words and was in the middle of the thirty-fourth chapter.

I should really just pound out five thousand words and push that sucker over. I owe that much to the Emo-Kid. :P

ANYWAY, consider yourself progress-spammed. :D

...my sister and I spent like an hour sitting on the couch singing to crappy music today. It was ridiculous and awesome. XD

Sleep is a silly thing that rebuilds brain cells and nourishes the body and whatnot.  Pshaw.

Typo of the Day, or Technically of Yesterday:

The stones of the flood bruised his knees...

It's clearly extremely deep symbolism.

I'm not sure how, but between TEIN binges and Vincent yesterday, I slingshotted myself over 9,000 words.

...you said it, Jack.  WTF? XD
tierfal: (Light - Wet)
This is obviously a good excuse for intense spammage.

The Dawn of Remembered Time is finally done.

Another chapter of The Margins is up.  I've got another slightly older drabble in reserve, and then two newer ones I'm a bit more pleased with.

Drinking the Dark is the first part of [livejournal.com profile] richelle2972's birthday fic.  DAMN RIGHT, I didn't forget.  I just... um... fail.  I've got the first paragraph of an L/Light half, too; just nothing more than that... Someday I'll figure out what ought to, y'know, happen...

If you didn't see Moonrise for Halloween, well... there it is.  Light does not sparkle.  Thank you, though.

Please vote No on Prop 8.  I don't care what they tell you.  Civil unions are not the same as marriages, and the idea that discrimination against people based on their sexual preferences might get written into the California constitution makes me physically ill.  Think, and then vote, in that order.

...I have two days of French homework that needs to get done.  Do.  Not.  Want.

As far as NaNo goes, I've written 880 words since November technically started.  I sense problems.  That might be what those flashing red lights are for.  Or maybe that's the ambulance, coming to return my brain...?  *hopeful*
